The projects

The progress in the astroparticle and cosmological physics has been driven by an influx of high quality observational and experimental data collected by large, typically international collaboration.  The Center builds on many past and on-going efforts which involved France- and Berkeley- based researchers and research groups and collaboration ties between the CNRS and Berkeley. Those efforts involve extensive instrumental, data mining and analysis efforts as well as theoretical investigations and the Center will work to support all these aspects of the research.

The Center seeks to continue supporting existing projects as well as promoting and developing new initiatives prioritizing those which target the four strategic science themes defined for the Center.

The existing projects, which are of particular interest for the Center and where the Center will be particularly proactive in developing fruitful collaborations and instigating new interactions, include:

CMB experiments:

Simons Array Simons Observatory CMB-S4

Supernovae surveys:

Subaru Supernovae Project

Galaxy surveys:

Gravitational wave experiments:

Ligo/Virgo LISA
