CNRS-UCB International Research Laboratory, IRL2007
Pierre Binétruy Center (Centre Pierre Binétruy) is a International Research Laboratory established by the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) and the University of California at Berkeley. It is located on the Berkeley Campus and operates since Jan 01, 2020. The Center supports collaborative projects between CNRS and UCB researchers in selected areas of astroparticle and cosmological physics. It is named after the late Pierre Binétruy, a renowned theorist and scientific leader.
The current directors of the Center are prof. Saul Perlmutter (UCB/LBNL) and dr. Radek Stompor (CNRS).

The Center aims at developing strong, impactful contributions to specific experimental projects within the four strategic science themes defined for the Center.
About Pierre
The Center is named after the late Pierre Binétruy (1955-2017), professor at the University Paris-Diderot and a renowned theorist who made important contributions to many areas relevant for the Center.
